Raleigh Family Photographer | Last Call for Spring Mini Sessions

This weather has been unrea! Last week I had a session in the morning and it felt like winter. It was foggy and cold (I’ll be blogging about that soon!). Then later that day it felt like summer! As your Raleigh Family Photographer, I wanted to scout out the JC Raulston Arboretum to get a feel for great spots for this Sunday’s mini sessions! I’ll post the flyer at the bottom of this post and you are welcome to contact me here or email me at jenniferlagrangephotography@gmail.com to schedule your session!

An Evening of Exploring

I had the opportunity to rent a new lens two weeks ago to photograph a performance at a local school. I really needed to try it out beforehand to make sure it worked well and to get used to it. These kids didn’t mind helping me experiment. The love exploring new places and there may have been some sour patch bribery happening 😉 Grandma was with us, too. Certainly they wanted to be on their best behavior for her. Anyone else’s kiddos angels for their grandparents? I could never get them to do this for just me!

Part of the reason I LOVE photography is freezing moments, seasons, in time. My oldest looks so grown up. The time flies by far to quickly! And as your Raleigh family photographer I would love to do the same for you! Are you nervous your kiddos aren’t going to behave? Trust me, my kids are my hardest subjects for the very reason I am their momma. I’m perfectly fine with kids bringing toys are sitting down and having a snack. My job is to tell your kids story just as they are. Notice my kiddo wouldn’t “pose” for me unless I let him have his toy. You know what? Years from now we will be able to look back on these together and remember there was a time when he took toys with him EVERYWHERE. He loved transformers and he loved being a ham.

As a Raleigh family photographer, I keep sessions fun. Kids should be kids. They don’t need to look or be quiet or give a perfect smile. Some of my favorite images are the kids completely unprompted, being themselves. Let them unfold the magic of your family’s story.

When you see photos of kids that you love what are they doing? What are your kids favorite things to do and what do you want to remember about their childhood?
