As your newborn photographer in Raleigh, it is easy for me to sit here and tell you that you need to invest in a professional newborn photographer BUT I’m also a mom of 2 and have been in your shoes. Let me tell you, I didn’t take either of my babies newborn photos and I don’t regret it for a second.
Let’s face it, we pretty much all have a phone with a “good camera” these days and Pinterest is filled with inspiration. A lot of us even have “nice cameras”. Why in the world should you pay someone to take pictures of your baby when you can totally just do it yourself? The Why
1. Your baby changes so quickly
Our babies change and grow so quickly and being present with them every single day makes it a little harder to see it. As a Cary newborn photographer and a momma myself I have an eye for all the little details that you may not think to photograph.
2. It’s a great experience
My sessions are in home and very relaxed. You don’t have to tote your brand new baby out an about, worry about schedules and toting 100 baby items around. We will keep it cozy and make sure you and your new baby are comfortable. You’ve just done a lot of work and deserve photographs to remember this time in your life. This beautiful, exhausting and incredible time.
3. Your photographer knows light.
Yes, you might have the latest iPhone or a fancy camera and you might be able to take good pictures with it but do you know how to use light? It doesn’t matter what type of camera you have, if you don’t know how to use light properly you won’t get good images. Maybe sometime you LOVE your photo photos more than others but you don’t know why. It’s light and I know how to use it to make you and your photos look amazing.
4. Get in the photos.
Maybe you do know how to use light and can take amazing pictures with a great camera. Your might even be a professional photographer yourself. Let me ask you this. Who is taking the pictures? Moms know that we are always the ones BEHIND the camera. You can take great pictures of you little one, you’ve got a bunch of your husband with you little one and maybe even siblings with the little one but how many images do you have of yourself with that little baby that you worked so hard to grow and deliver? Get in the frame with you baby, not even just for you but for that baby, too.
