Cary Newborn Photographer | When Should You Schedule Your Newborn Session?
When Should You Reach Out?
There are so many things going on in that momma brain when you are expecting and even once baby arrives. As a Cary newborn photographer and a momma myself, pregnancy brain is a real thing. I’m pretty sure it never wears off either. Can I claim that? I definitely need an excuse for all the times I misplace my keys, or my phone, or my kids. Just kidding, not my kids 🤣
Most of my clients reach out before baby is born, especially if they are looking to have a maternity session as well. I do recommend reaching out whenever you happen to think about it (going back to that momma/pregnancy brain) and at least a couple of months before hand. I will put your due date on my calendar and wait for you to give me a ring after baby’s arrival and we will find a date that works best for you.
If you happen to forget or realize this is something you would like to do once you hold that sweet, squishy baby in your arms you can totally contact me after the baby is born and we can definitely still work out a time that will be great!
How Old Should My Baby Be for Newborn Photos?
People can go back and forth about this questions. Some photographers are a hard first 10 days of life. This is mostly because it’s said that babies sleep the most during this time frame (I honestly love when newborns gaze into my camera with their great big eyes as they take in this brand new world). Baby’s do tend to change so much in the first couple of weeks as you fatten up those sweet cheeks and thighs but I don’t believe it’s necessary to do it in the first 10 days. The best time is the time that works the best for YOU and YOUR BABY. I’ve done newborn sessions with babies that were a month old and they were just as precious as the itty bitty ones.
So, if you are expecting or have recently had a baby and are in search of a Cary newborn photographer, I would love to freeze these fleeting moments for you. Contact me here to schedule your newborn session today!
