Real estate photography is one of the most important pieces to selling a home, if not THE most important piece. Especially now, in the digital age we live in, people are scrolling and looking at pictures of homes online before even speaking to a realtor. If buyers don’t like the images they see, no matter how gorgeous a property is in person, they are much less likely to ever go see the home.

My name is Jennifer LaGrange and I am a Cary Real Estate Photographer (of course, surrounding areas, too!). I’ve been doing photography for others for the past 6 years. I of course LOVE photographing families and newborns so you may ask how I came about doing real estate.

One of my very first paid clients I had 6 years ago was getting ready to start her own real estate business and asked if I could film a home for her. Thinking this would be a great opportunity, I jumped online and learned all that I could about angles, gear and bracketing. I filmed my own home and found joy in making beautiful images of a place that meant so much to our family. After showing her my photos she felt confident enough to allow me to photograph homes for her and I have been ever since! Most homes have sold in under 48 hours! She is the reason I officially declared myself a business 5 years ago and I am so grateful for that push!

As time went on I was happy with my images but didn’t necessarily LOVE them. They were missing something and I was so limited as to when I would film a home (think golden hour). I decided to take an actual real estate photography course from an amazing photographer out of Atlanta and it has been a game changer! Learning how to incorporate flash into my workflow has not only made my images feel so much cleaner and full of that wow factor but it has also allowed me to be far more flexible in when I am available to film a home.
