Cary Photographer | Re-branded
As a Cary Photographer, my goal is to make my clients, you guys, happy. This past year I have also learned that I was basically drowning myself with the amount of work I created. I loved it but I also felt like I was neglecting my family and myself. You guys, life is fun but it is also hard. Being a mom is hard! Trying to find the balance between being a good mom, a business owner and not forgetting to take care of yourself is not easy. I love you guys and am so grateful for the support you have shown me. I need to respect myself and make time for my family, to be with them 100%. Not thinking about what I could be doing but truly spending time with them and being present. I’m sure all the momma’s out there completely understand.
I spent the fall and winter of the past year taking a business course specifically geared to photographers. My goal going into the class was that I would be able to work less and spend more time with my family while still hopefully making enough to someday take my kiddos to Disney World and put money away for college. You’re with me on this, right? I gained a whole wealth of knowledge and while I still REALLY need to work on marketing and getting myself out there I really learned a lot about running a small photography business. I learned about finding out who my dream client is, I learned ways that I could help solve their problems, how I could help you AND I learned a lot about who I am as an artist.
From this came my desire to re-brand. Don’t get me wrong, I still LOVE smash cake sessions and birthdays but I really LOVE story telling! I want to capture real life moments with families in a fun way. I want to tell your stories. Life isn’t perfect, we aren’t perfect but we love our babies and I want to create images that you can look back on it years, regardless of where life takes you, and remember who you are, where you came from and what you were feeling at that moment. If you are wanting those super posed, everyone is smiling at the camera portraits, I may not be the photographer for you. If you want your story told through beautiful lifestyle images, lightly guided and directed posing with lots of fun mixed in, then yes, we may be a great match!
Brand New Business Model
I’ve also changed my business model. Face it. If you booked a 30 minute mini session with me, it always lasted longer and I always wished I had more time with you. I really want to get to know my families and to build relationships with you. You aren’t just figures to me. I care about my clients. I also really wish I was with you when you first saw your images. When we get our family photos done I am always so eager to receive them. It’s such a magical experience. Instead of being that shoot and burn photographer you don’t hear from much, I am switching to a boutique photography studio
What is a boutique photography studio? It is going to be all about the experience. I will hold your hand through the entire process from the moment you book.
We will talk through things before your session. Where to meet, what to wear if you need help, and any other questions or concerns you may have. I am here to help you. I’ve always prided myself in getting to know your families beforehand, especially so the kiddos are comfortable with me, and that won’t change. We will have our fun filled session and then about 2 weeks later we will have a reveal night if you choose the standard package! You guys reveal night is going to be SO much fun! I will come to your home with dessert in hand and you will see your images for the very first time! I will then be there to help you with how best to use your print credit. It can be overwhelming to know exactly what you want. I am here to walk through that process with you.
I am super excited about this big change! What does that mean for you? Well, it means you will be getting much more of an experience instead of just getting pictures done. It means we will be developing relationships and having a great time. It also means my pricing structure has changed. Instead of one set fee there will now be a creative fee to reserve your session. From there you can pick and choose what meets your families needs. I will be offering amazing heirloom wood prints, gorgeous metal prints, beautiful albums and digital images.
